To understand what money is, one has to understand how it came about. Why did people create it in the first place; and for what reason? In short, money is a reminder that someone owes someone else. An I owe you slip. It's a form of accountability. We have developed a way to remind ourselves how much we owe, or how much we are owed (in debit or credit). Our sinful nature and mistrust, whether it be from the borrower or the lender, perhaps even a genuine solution in resolving the memory problem, has resulted in the creation of money. The problem with this is that if it were genuinely created in resolving the memory problem, it would not lose its value. If all the parties involved were honest in honouring what they have declared to repay, this devaluation would not result. So, the more dishonest a country is, the more its currency will devalue.
The very nature of having to remind ourselves that we owe or that we are owed, reflects our sinfulness of distrust. The abundance from coveting, which will result in deficiency in others, has resulted in the creation of some kind of a sworn statement, holding the borrower under oath that they will repay, thereby easing the worry that the lender may have in losing what they have lent. If the lender has genuinely acquired without coveting; and the borrower is borrowing due to their ignorance of disgrace, attained from a sinful nature, the creation of money in this situation is an honest tool. It helps the borrower from disgrace, provided the borrower has honest intentions. By lending to the borrower and holding them responsible, teaches them how to multiply Good deeds and not bad deeds. Money then becomes a useful tool in teaching one's fellow success. Money should not be used to pressurize the borrower to extents of unbearable slave conditions, so that only the lender is enriched.
The enrichment of both lender and borrower will eventually result in equality; thereafter, once trust and honesty in the minds of all is embedded and respected, the removal of money as a reminding hold can be achieved. If people lose respect of this money tool, abusing its meaning by accumulating it at whatever cost, then its value will depreciate; and will not be worth the paper it is written on. Wars will brake out, people will kill each other just to survive, without consideration for each other, until a hard lesson is learnt about greed and the sharing of power.
The lender must also understand, that the wealth they have accumulated is temporally under their custody, until the borrower corrects their downfall from grace. It would be grievously wicked to wish that the borrower never returned to grace, so that the lender may benefit from the others portion. The lender should be humbly waiting and encouraging their prodigal fellow to change; ultimately their behaviour will effect even them, which is a fact at present. The world seems to be going from bad to worst; and the devil is laughing all the way to the bank, buying arsenal to control even more, not realizing that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Let us not make money an idol of desire; but to use it as a helpful tool, remembering that its true goal of equalling wealth; when accomplished will not be needed anymore. When humanity has learned to share and care for each other, as one universal family; then, money will not be needed anymore; its purpose will have been accomplished. Money's true aim is to not be. To die it must first live; born out of necessity to save something lost more worth than itself, The Human Race. One could resemble money to toilet paper. Let it be a servant to us; and not we to it, always appreciating its worth by our honouring its true meaning.
So, what is money worth; and what is its meaning? To find out we have to look in Leviticus 25: 10 and verse 15-16.
Leviticus 25: 10. And you shall hallow the fiftieth year; and proclaim liberty throughout all the land, to all its inhabitants; it shall be a jubilee to you, you shall return every man his possession; and you shall return every man to his family.
Leviticus 25: 15. According to the number of years after the jubilee, you may buy from your neighbour; and according to the number of years of the fruits, he may sell to you.
Leviticus 25: 16. According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price of it; and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it, for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell to thee.
Verse 10 states, on the fiftieth year, unequal possessions must be returned to their rightful custodians. I will explain the significance of this below. Verse 15 and 16 explains, that goods must be sold with a compounded yearly increase, for this explanatory exercise, the increase is 1.395…%, rounded off is 1.39% per year, so that at the end of the fifty-year period the then inflated amount is doubled. Why I say double? If a person possesses another's total possessions, at most it would be devalued in fifty years to nil, due to the instruction that they would have to give it back on the jubilee. The total would be 100% of the others possessions. Therefore, devaluing by 100% at most, one must inflate by 100% over the same period. The devaluation of perishable good must be devalued by the yearly compounded percentage of fifty-years; example, 99.99…%, rounded off to 99.99%, for every year not sold after it was produced. This means that if in the first year after the jubilee a product selling at price x is not sold, the price must be reduced by 99.99% every year, so that after fifty years it will be reduced to the least possible. 100 to 200, over 50 years, is a compounded yearly inflation of 1.395…% per year; and 100 to .000 continues 1, over 50 years, is 99.99…% per year devaluation. 100 to .01, over 50 years, is a devaluation of 16.823…% per year. The importance of the devaluation is that perishable goods must be sold at a lower price according to age, making it affordable to the poor, until the jubilee equalizes the wealth of the people. The poor and wealthier people will eventually learn how to behave, by remaining at par (not fear each other) with their average righteous fellow, so as not to suffer any unpleasant bad conscience. Matthew 25: 14-46. The inaccuracy, due to the rounding off, of the inflationary and devaluation percentages, will equal out on the jubilee. It does not really matter what the percentage is, as long as it is constant for the whole period to the jubilee; and close to the main ideal of the Jubilee formula in calculating the percentage. These rules should not be changed to favour anyone; but be in everybody's favour to promote equality. The lower the inflation and higher the devaluation, the more honest the population will be; especially when some of the people do not understand numbers. In fact, if there was no money at all and people knew how to be completely honest with each other, the better things would be. In Leviticus, it says that every seven years and on the fiftieth year, no trade was to take place. That would mean that eight years of the fifty years would not count in the calculations of finding the yearly compounded interest return, so the formula would have to be calculated based on forty-two years. The point is that it does not really matter what the percentage is, as long as it is constant until the next jubilee; and everybody knows the rules. Mainly I am explaining the question of every one's wealth, not the period for allowing the land to rest. These days, there are other ways to allow the land rest, that of fertilization and rotation. Our intention should not be to die; but to live long. The fifty-year jubilee should not become a distraction to the rule. The majority of people believe that all will die, so some say, "Why not just live to please this short life span, without consideration for our fellow and the generations to come." Revelation 12: 12. Therefore, rejoice you heavens and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down to you, having great wrath because he knows that he has only a short time. That is the only Truth the devil knows; that he will be cast into the lake of fire forever. The righteous knows they will be liberated. At anytime the books can be equally balanced before the jubilee, so that no one has the advantage over the other. Philadelphia, love for each other is the most important rule to uphold, for the survival of all. Leviticus 25: 17. Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God, for I am the LORD your God.
Let us presume that there are only two individuals in the world trading non-perishable goods, person A and Person B. Both A and B starts with $100 and one ounce of gold each. In the first year of trade, A sells the one ounce of gold to B for $100. Now A has $200 and B has two ounces of gold. In year two, if trade is to continue, B must sell one ounce back to A, for $101.39 (100 plus 1.39%); and back again for the same price that year. The next year, B must sell one ounce for $102.799…, rounded off to $102.80 (101.39 plus 1.39%). On the jubilee, presumably, A will have $200 and B two ounces of gold.
For trade to continue into the next fifty years, more currency has to be created and distributed equally between the two. The total inflation of a fifty-year period is 100%. Therefore, the creation of extra currency must be 100%. Another $100 each, must be distributed to the two. Person B, at the beginning of the jubilee has both ounces of gold; and has the advantage over A, now the gold price has inflated to $200 an ounce. On the jubilee, B has both ounces of gold, B must give one ounce back to A; and A must give back $100 to B. Person B could also negotiate to give the $100 extra currency created to A, instead of the one ounce of gold. If negotiation is successful, B would have two ounces of gold; and A would have $400. If not successful, B would have one ounce of gold and 200$, the same for A. Either way trade can continue at the inflation of 1.39%, with the same principles as the period before the jubilee. This is why it is so important to give back, if parties are not equal on the jubilee, trade will stop. If B does not give back, keeping the two ounces and the $100. A would only have $300. There would not be any reason for A to buy gold from B, eventually A would only have just a bit more than 50% in relation to B. It would make a big difference if we are talking of thousands of dollars and the price of bread a few cents. Not to mention if one could not even afford bread. The extra currency could be distributed at its inflationary amount daily; but would only have purchasing power to purchase B's others ounce of gold, if B's quota of money is given to A, so the books are balanced.
Perishables must be devalued due to deterioration; but the new produces must be increased by the yearly inflation value; and devalued by its devaluation value if not sold within that year. On the jubilee, even the perishables must be equalized, so all persons are equal.
Why not just keep the one-ounce of gold each, you might ask? We could; but then there would not be any trade, humanity would have nothing to do and would die from hunger and boredom. So, why not just work free for the community, like one big happy family? We still have to learn how to honour the meaning of money before we can respect and honour the meaning of True Communism. By understanding that it does not benefit anyone to be greedy, by coveting all that is one's neighbour's; if money is used correctly, will help society to understand the value of being honest. If used incorrectly will create some rich, some poor and a few average. The aim of humanity should not be to scheme wicked acts of greed; but to do unto others what you would want them to do unto you. That is, all the Loving qualities that love represent in the Ten Commandments. Jesus condensed all the Commandments into one. To understand "Love," one has to understand all Ten Commandments; and if one still does not understand those Ten, then one will have to understand all six hundred and thirteen, that Moses gave the Israelites. If one still does not understand, then one will be commanded with many more, until it will feel like hell, nagged at from every angle, by them that are similar. By understanding and respecting Love, all commandments are fulfilled, a pleasure to uphold due to the benefits that they bring. Would it then really matter what we call that system of things? All good things can get a bad name if it turns bad. If anything has a little bad it will eventually all turn bad, unless the badness is removed, or in the process of removing, quicker than the badness is infecting.
Ecclesiastes 10: 5-7. There is an evil, which I have seen under the sun, as an error, which proceedeth from the ruler. Folly is set in great dignity and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
1st Timothy 6: 9. But they that will be rich, fall into temptation and a snare, into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1st Timothy 6: 10. For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some have coveted, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1st Timothy 6: 17. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
1st Timothy 6: 18. That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
1st Timothy 6: 19. Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Matthew 25: 14. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants and delivered to them his goods. And to one he gave five talents, to another two and to another one, to every man according to his several ability and forthwith took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same and gained other five talents. Likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and buried it in the earth, hiding his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants come and reckoned with them. And he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents, behold, I have gained besides them five talents more. His lord said to him, Well done thou good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents, behold, I have gained two other talents besides them. His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of thy lord. Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have not strewed. I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth, look, there you have what is yours. His lord answered and said to him. You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not strewed. You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers and then at my coming I should have received my own with interest. Take therefore the talent from him and give it to him who hath ten talents. For to every one that hath shall be given and he shall have abundance but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into utter darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. When the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then will he sit upon the throne of his glory. Before him shall be gathered all nations; and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And he will set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left. Then will the King say to them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry and ye gave me food. I was thirsty and ye gave me drink. I was a stranger and ye took me in. Naked and ye clothed me. I was sick and ye visited me, I was in prison and ye came to me. Then will the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you? Thirsty and gave you drink? When did we see you a stranger and took you in? Naked and clothed you? When did we see you sick, or in prison and came to you? And the king will answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, In as much as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me. Then will he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. I was hungry and ye gave me no food. I was thirsty and ye gave me no drink. I was a stranger and ye took me not in, naked and ye clothed me not, sick and in prison and ye visited me not. Then will they also answer him saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked, sick, or in prison and did not minister to you? Then will he answer them, saying, Verily I say to you, In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Matthew 25: 46. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment but the righteous into life eternal.
2nd Corinthians 8: 9. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
2nd Corinthians 8: 14. But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
